Fashion and I have been on a break lately; unless you call PJs a trend, then I’m so on point. And even though #momlife has gotten in my way, the rest of the world celebrates clothes, fashion, and trends on a daily basis, and I hope to cross over to the other side pretty soon.
And while moms like me rock our PJs, there are kids who own their style and know what they want to look and dress like from a very early age. My one-year-old is still too young to make those decisions (or reject mine for that matter, thank God!) but I can foresee her knowing exactly what her look is and maybe even telling me off when I make wrong fashion choices. It’s quite possible, honestly, considering I’m more of the kurti-leggings type. Hopefully my daughter’s sense of style will rub off on me and together, we will give me a makeover, but that’s at least another year away.
And until my daughter can make those choices for herself, it’s up to me to dress her in outfits that look great on babies but are also comfortable and practical at the same time.
Junior’s Fashion Week is happening in Mumbai this weekend (September 30th and October 1st), and it promises to be the right place for me to find out what’s trending and what the cool kids are wearing.
About Junior’s Fashion Week
Junior’s Fashion Week is a Children’s Fashion Show that focuses at juniors aged between four to fifteen years as the event brings with it, immense vivacity and energy of the children’s fashion & lifestyle industry. Brands from various stratum of longevity (established and emerging) showcase their collection for B2B and B2C visitors at JFW. Junior’s Fashion Week’s ardent aim is to improve the kids’ fashion tableau in India.

Stars at Junior’s Fashion Week
The models walking the ramp at JFW are adorable kids and when I saw photos from previous events, I was impressed by how confident these little ones looked in front of all those lights and cameras. Once Laddoo turns 4 years old, if she’s interested, I would love to sign her up for this. Considering she is exposed to a paparazzi-esque Mamma from Day 1, 24/7, it almost seems like I have been training her for something exactly like this.
Aside from the actual Fashion Show, I will be attending the workshop too – where the stars of the fashion show will be trained and groomed for the main event. I’m excited already!
Brands at Junior’s Fashion Week
This event shall showcase the Autumn Winter 2017 Collections by renowned brands like U.S. Polo Assn., Marks & Spencer, London, and Allen Solly Junior – who are known not only for their unique style, but also for their quality and comfort.
I’m really looking forward to being a part of a Fashion Show (it’s my first time!!) and of course I will share everything with you all. Watch out for live updates this weekend as I watch uber cool kids walk the ramp and rock their style on my Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter.
